The Best of 2016.... NO Nope scratch that Most anticipated of 2017

Image
So 2016 well has sucked. It has been a terrible year for just about everyone. Only two groups of people(of one I can proudly say I belong to) can say hey 2016 was a good year . Those two groups are white supremacists and Cubs fans (I belong to this one GO CUBBIES). For everyone else this has been a lousy year. So in lieu of doing a best of 2016 I'm going to talk about what has me hyped for 2017. If you are at all curious about what I enjoyed best of this shitty year it will be at the end and will be a one of each of the following, Video Game, Movie, and TV show.

Review: Amazing Spider-Man the Game

Spider-Man has has a unique history with video games most of them bad but their have been a few gems. "Amazing Spider-Man the Game" is not one of them but is it's not a just stink bomb of a game that has had the Spider-Man name. This game is not a bad game but not a good game either it falls in the middle. If looked at as a Spider-Man game it not that great however if you look at a movie tie in game it's not bad. their are several pros and cons with this game that keep it in the middle.  The Story The story is one of the good points in this game. The story takes place 4 months after the movie and spoils a lot of plot points of the movie. The story it's self is kinda campy and fits the old comic stories in which a lot of the characters come from but still has this edgy feel of modern Spider-Man. One of the cons of the story is how some of the villains are portrayed most characters. Rhino, Scorpion, and Vermin are animals exposed to human DNA in the reverse of C...

A Quick Update

So I got the last piece of of my month of Spider-Man and that is the "Amazing Spider-Man the Game". Now I would love to review this however I'm not sure on how long it is and I also have the Stan Lee pre-order bonus. So here is my dead line if I don't have this game beaten by July 16 then I will probably not review the game. Now what I call beaten is the whole story enough of the side missions that I've got a feel for the pattern and all of the Stan Lee stuff.

Amazing is One Word for It

First I’d like to wish my readers a happy Independence Day (the holiday not the Blockbuster movie starring Will Smith) However this blog is not about today but about what came out yesterday. Yes I am talking about “Amazing Spider-Man” and this is my review. This review like the other movie will be looked at in 3 parts The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, however I will also add a fourth part called the 3D. So without any more delay here is my Review of “Amazing Spider-Man”. The Good Ok I’m going to start by saying I did not have the bar set high for this film and I was wrong not to.   Ok I want to start by saying this movie did nothing but surprise me the actors, the story, and the action. These are the 3 things I’m going to focus on for this part of the review. The Actors are amazing (pardon the pun) I was worried about some of the choices of the actors, but everyone did an amazing job. I want to start talking about Andrew Garfield and how he plays Peter Parker. There ...

An Amazing Review

Image
Disclaimer I don’t normally start post with disclaimer but I feel the need to apologies to my readers I said a few weeks back that I would review all three Spider-Man movies and I only got around to one . The thing is after sitting down and watching the movies I decided against it. Now I have my reasons for it and hear they are: “Spider-Man 2” would have read along the same lines of the 1 st review with additions respecting Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, who I though did an amazing job as the character with the only flaw being his death at the end. I would also go on to just talk about how much Dunst is not right for this role and how she screws it up. The last bit would be my change and that the John Jameson and MJ dating thing. “Spider-Man 3” basically comes down to something my mom told as a kid, “If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all.” Well I like the Venom costume design but at was it. And now for the review I am doing it is a special printing by Marvel celeb...

Frist Impressions Of Amazing Spider-Man

So as I mentioned in a comment in my last blog I picked up a reprint of an old Spider-Man comic that happened to be the first appearance of The Lizard. Well with it is a sneak peek of the new movie “The Amazing Spider-Man” (ASM). The DVD is in two parts one is a behind the scenes look at the movie. The second part is a scene from the movie involving Spider-Man stopping a car thief. So I’m going to break this down in to two parts the first part talks about the behind the scenes stuff. The second part will be me taking apart the scene and giving you my first impressions of the movie. The Behind the Scenes The look behind the camera is interesting at best we get to see three things. We get cast options of the actors on their characters and the movie it’s self. We get small bits of how each actor plays the characters. And last we get a better look at the story of the movie and to avoid spoilers that all I will not get into that. But it was very informative and has me a bit more e...

Look Out Here Comes The Spider-Man

"Spider-Man" this movie holds a special place for me. It was the movie that made it cool to be a comic book Nerd. It also opened the flood gates for all the superhero movies of the last 10 years. So with any more delay here is my Review of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" Plot Summary   The Film opens with a narration by Peter warning does that this is not a happy story. We are quickly introduced to the 4 major charters. The 1st act of the film is about Peter learning his powers and his responsibility with those powers. The 2nd act  is Peter coming to terms with his life as Spider-Man and dealing with Green Goblin. The 3rd act is the climax the final show down between Peter and Norman. The Good This movie did a lot of things right both as a film and as a Spider-Man story. One of the 1st things that this movie did right for me was it introduced the four primary characters in the 1st 15 minutes and established their relationships. This also brings me to...
