Profile Hero of Hyrule.
So who remembers placing in that golden cartridge naming your character and walking in that cave to get your first sword because it was dangerous to go alone. That is where is started for so many Zelda fan 30 years ago but as time passed many of us asked what the story was and who is the Hero of Hyrule. Well that's what i aim to find out as we Look at the original Link Hero of Hyrule.
Name: Link (Or Given Name)
Age: 10 (LoZ) 16 (AoL)
Motivation: Moderate to High
The Original Link is well the hardest one to profile as his games are part of that older vain and thus only have story at the end and beginning of the game. The only other place any story and character information was given was in the game manual. Ok so let given this a try. Link while traveling through the woods is met by the exhausted and week handmaiden of the Princess Zelda Impa. She begs Link to set out for Death Mountain and save Zelda from Ganon. This is Link's sole motivation in The Legend of Zelda was to Save princess and save the world. This motivation is well kinda typical it your classic knight saving the maiden so it scored a Moderate rating. Now 6 years have pass and the Kingdom of Hyrule has known peace however Ganon's minions are growing stronger and are looking for the lost Triforce of Courage. One day a mysterious mark appears on Link's hand. Showing the mark to Impa she recognizes link as the destined hero who will awaken the sleeping Princess Zelda I and bring everlasting peace. Explaining to Link what he need to do to awaken the princess he sets off, however Ganon's minion are also following Link because his Death would mean Ganon returns. This is a higher motivation that the 1st game Link has already saved the Kingdom but now he must defend that peace on top of lifting a curse. Yeah this like the original is a little typical as well but it works better than save the princess.
Possible BoW Link: Moderate to High
Could this Link be the New Breath of the Wild Link? Maybe. I put his odds at Moderate to high for a variety or reason. My weak reasons are there is just so much promotional material linking this game and the original case in point.
other reason I have are the fact that Link awakens from 100 year sleep similar to Zelda I. But this is tech and that was magic you may be saying well my response is the quote by Arthur C Clarke, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." That reason aside we also have Calamity Ganon assuming this is him trying to regain power this is similar to his role in Zelda II. Now that all just speculation and I could be wrong.
