An Amazing Review

Image
Disclaimer I don’t normally start post with disclaimer but I feel the need to apologies to my readers I said a few weeks back that I would review all three Spider-Man movies and I only got around to one . The thing is after sitting down and watching the movies I decided against it. Now I have my reasons for it and hear they are: “Spider-Man 2” would have read along the same lines of the 1 st review with additions respecting Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, who I though did an amazing job as the character with the only flaw being his death at the end. I would also go on to just talk about how much Dunst is not right for this role and how she screws it up. The last bit would be my change and that the John Jameson and MJ dating thing. “Spider-Man 3” basically comes down to something my mom told as a kid, “If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all.” Well I like the Venom costume design but at was it. And now for the review I am doing it is a special printing by Marvel celeb

Frist Impressions Of Amazing Spider-Man

So as I mentioned in a comment in my last blog I picked up a reprint of an old Spider-Man comic that happened to be the first appearance of The Lizard. Well with it is a sneak peek of the new movie “The Amazing Spider-Man” (ASM). The DVD is in two parts one is a behind the scenes look at the movie. The second part is a scene from the movie involving Spider-Man stopping a car thief. So I’m going to break this down in to two parts the first part talks about the behind the scenes stuff. The second part will be me taking apart the scene and giving you my first impressions of the movie. The Behind the Scenes The look behind the camera is interesting at best we get to see three things. We get cast options of the actors on their characters and the movie it’s self. We get small bits of how each actor plays the characters. And last we get a better look at the story of the movie and to avoid spoilers that all I will not get into that. But it was very informative and has me a bit more e

Look Out Here Comes The Spider-Man

"Spider-Man" this movie holds a special place for me. It was the movie that made it cool to be a comic book Nerd. It also opened the flood gates for all the superhero movies of the last 10 years. So with any more delay here is my Review of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" Plot Summary   The Film opens with a narration by Peter warning does that this is not a happy story. We are quickly introduced to the 4 major charters. The 1st act of the film is about Peter learning his powers and his responsibility with those powers. The 2nd act  is Peter coming to terms with his life as Spider-Man and dealing with Green Goblin. The 3rd act is the climax the final show down between Peter and Norman. The Good This movie did a lot of things right both as a film and as a Spider-Man story. One of the 1st things that this movie did right for me was it introduced the four primary characters in the 1st 15 minutes and established their relationships. This also brings me to

Some thing for fun.

So I got to looking at my calender today and I noticed it is exactly three week till Sony Pictures releases "Amazing Spider-Man" so I got an idea. My idea is this starting this Friday I will start a weekly movie  review counting down to this new block buster, and those movies are the Sam Rami Spider-Man Trilogy. I'm going to break these review into three parts: The Good, were i will talk about how the movie excels what is done right,; The Bad, were I will talk about what is not that great what just didn't work,; The Ugly, here i will take a fan point of view and talk about it's relation to the comic and what I would of changed to better relate it to the comic. Then I will sum it up and give it a rating out of 5.
