Press Start to Continue: The Los Angeles Vault

With November 10th a while away roughly 18 weeks away so we are going to countdown to the game by looking at the vaults featured in Fallout,  2, 3, and New Vegas. I will not belooking into Vaults that where featured in the Tactics games, Brotherhood of Steel, or The Fallout Bible as these sources are either not or no longer cannon. I will be looking at these vaults in Numerical order starting with the lowest numbers and ending with the higher numbers. So we start this one with The Los Angeles Vault.

History

The LA Vault appeared in the original Fallout game and was never intended to be a working vault just a demo to acquire funds for Vault-Tec’s Project Safehouse. Its construction was completed either prior to 2054 or during 2054 before the constructions of the official 120 Vaults. On October 23, 2077 the Great War would come to an end as the bombs are dropped across the world. People would rush to the LA vault for safety. They would remain there till 2092 leaving its safety in to what is now known as the Boneyard. In 2155 Richard Grey, a FEV mutant known as the Master, learned of the Vaults location. He and his army would then conquer the remaining inhabitants. He would then build the Cathedral over the entrance to the Vault. He would then bond himself to the central Computer. The Vault would become the home of the Master, his Army, and the cult known as the Children of the Cathedral. In 2126 The Vault Dweller of Vault 13 destroys the Vault and the Cathedral.

Join us next time as we look into Vault 3
