In the News: Rumors of the Kinect price
Sense it grad appearance at the Microsoft press conference Kinect has done one thing in the news and that's countless articles about how much it will cost. Most of the retailers (Amazon.com, Gamestop, etc) have listed the device as $149. Now Microsoft online store has also listed as 149.
G4TV.com's The Feed has reported that their is an no official price announcement.
But when will we see a price announcement. 1up.com reported that we may see an announcement as late as Gamescon.
My thoughts on this are Their are a few things Microsoft need to do here with this. 1st don't pack this thing with out the old Xbox 360 adapter. Yes that right it has a special port that was built in to the Slims but not the older 360's. 2nd Bundles yes sell the unit with out games, and consoles but also make bundles with game an consoles. The more bundle options the better. 3rd please for your sake don't stick with the 149 dollar price. Now their is a rumor out their that this thing cost 150 to make but I'm not sure on the truth of that rumor so until we get an official price believe nothing and pre-order less.
