New York Toy Fair 2015 Look and Response

So this post, like my prediction, will be broken down by company talking about what each company presented at this years Toy Fair. So without further ado New York Toy Fair.

Bandai

Bandai: Came big with the New Dino Charge Line  with a lot of great stuff in the Zords:

Now while I'm happy to see the Packy Zord what's with Ammonite Zord?  Along with the Zords come a huge line of 5 inch figures and villains!

In other Power Rangers they show Legacy with both old and new and talk about another large scale figure.

So far I'm impressed. And a little sad at no legacy Thunder MegaZord, but they did say they are going in order so he is higher up on the list.

DC Collectibles

DC didn't disappoint this year with more Arrow and the Flash figures:

For their Designer line of figures they announced Teen Titans Earth One figures:

They also showed off a new line called Icons that will be have more articulation than the Designer figures:

And big news for the Batman Animated Series line is the Batmobile:

Plus More Arkham figures:

Diamond Select

Diamond brought their A-game this year with the long awaited Ghostbuster Select line starting with Winston and Ray

Now as for Marvel Figures  Diamond did not disappoint with our 1st look at Age of Ultron Widow and the addition of Hulk and Thor to that line. No word yet of if other characters will be made.

Not to be out shown by the movie the comic line also shows some great up coming figures:

And as always new Minimates for Age of Ultron, Marvel Axis, Classic X-Men:

Moving away from Marvel but staying with Minimates are the TMNT with wave 2 and the Mirage set.

Now that we looked at the super heroes let's look at the View Askew stuff with a slew of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back merch and Bluntman Chronic and the Cock Knocker. That's not all Diamond showed off the Black and White Clerks Select line.

And to round off this list of news we get to see the Dragon Age Minimate in package.

Funko

Funko pleasantly surprised me this year. 1st with their Mystery Minis adding both Blizzard and Garbage Pail Kids

The BIG surprise came in the form of the Legacy Line with FireFly Figures.

Hasbro

So with Hasbro we will break it up into the brands worth looking at. starting with...

Transformers

We get an awesome breakdown of upcoming Combiner Wars figures like a new Combiner set the Protectobots.

Sadly Blades (red helicopter) and First Aid (the ambulance) are retools of previously released figures.
Our next figure is a voyager class and Fan Favorite charter from MTME is Cyclonus who is a retool of Silverbolt.

The also showed the very asked for Leader Class Ultra Magnus with a Minimus Ambus from MTME

And last but not least Titan Class CONSTRUCTICON DEVASTATOR !!!

Now getting away from the Combiner Wars and looking at the new Robots in Disguise which will premiere in the US on Cartoon Network  March 14. We saw two new Warrior figures of Sideswipe and Jazz.

On top of that we also get Minicons!

Marvel

Moving on to their Marvel section Hasbro showed off a new wave of Legend figures for Ant Man, Spider-Man, and the Avengers. They also showed new Infinite figures as well.

Star Wars, sadly, had nothing new in the Black Series and no Force Awakens figures.

In other bad news, G.I. Joe had no presence at the show. It seems the line will only survive with it's collector club.

Jazwares

Another disappointing show with nothing new from the Terraria or Minecraft lines. I was a little disappointed.

They did show off their new NBA Heros line and the Gravity Falls toys however outside of the Gnome puking a rainbow plush I'm not that interested in anything else from these lines.

Lego

Lego had an awesome show with more Marvel including: Avengers Spider-Man and AntMan, DC, Scooby-Doo, Minecraft, Bionicle, and other 1st party products. So much awesome stuff I can't put all of it here so check out this gallery.

Mattel

Mattel, sadly, disappoints this year with both their Masters of the Universe line and their DC lines.

Masters this year include only one two pack with major characters in versions from the 2002 series. Then pads out the rest of the year with more obscure characters.

There DC Collector line Multiverse has devolved into Multi Batman. Don't get me wrong I love Batman but he seems to be the only character that Mattel knows how to promote.

In other Batman related news the Batman 66 line get the Batmobile:

This is one of the stronger reasons that I walked away from their lines when there's not a major DC movie line.

Mezco

NECA

NECA announced a new line with the Blizzard's Hero of the Storm and showed off the 1st wave prototypes.

On top of that they also showed more Godzilla figures include and old school NES style one.

And to round out NECA here is the original Devil May Cry Dante:

Playmates Toys

Nothing real special here just more from the cartoon line as they add the new sub title Dimension X.

Square Enix

Square disappointed this year with no new Final Fantasy figures. However, they did show off their new Marvel figures that are worth a look.

And an awesome Venom concept:

Toynami

Toynami showed great with old school mechs they came strong with Robotech 30th figures,

But the announcement that rocked my world is their new Ultimate Voltron EX.

Reactions

This year was a great show with a few disappointments but that's to be expected. The biggest surprises for me where the Ghostbusters Select line, Funko Legacy FireFly, and that new Voltron set. My only hope is that it is more affordable than it's masterpiece counter part. The best of this year's show has to go to Hasbro, Bandai, Lego, and Diamond this year. I do expect more from them at later shows. This year is going to be a great year for collector young and old.

I only have one thing left to say after everything is done.

I would like to thank the staff of the following sites for without them I would not be able to give my reactions with images. Figures.comToyarkTFW2005, and TokuNation thank you all for your hard work, and check out their sites for galleries on every thing from the show floor.

ALL HAIL MIGHTY CTHULHU!!!!!
