As our Journey across the wastelands of the Fallout Universe
have though us never trust a vault. For most vaults house wicked experiments
designed to test the very limits of humanity, However even Vault-Tech’s twisted
experiments can go wrong some time. Vault 108 is one such vault that did just that.
History
Vault 108’s experiment was a simple one study the conflict
of a power vacuum. When the Vault’s door closed little did they know that there
overseers own life was on borrow time. The 1st overseer of 108 was
chosen because he possessed a very rare and violent cancer. He was only predicted
to survive 40 months that the most. On top of that the power was design to
fail, the backup was insufficient, and the armory was overstocked. The variable
that through off the experiment was the vaults fully stocked cloning lab and
the dwellers willingness to use it. The scientist cloned a man named Gary and intended
to use the clones to fulfil most of the vaults heavy labor. Each clone was
simple and could only speak their name “Gary”, however there was a problem with
this as each Gary Clone became hostile to non-Gary clones. It is unknown when or
how but the 54 clones of Gary over powered and killed the residents in the
vault. Many of the clones still roam the halls of the vault calling out, “Gary.”
